Culinary Arts students are currently studying the importance of communication. In this lesson, they are demonstrating to the rest of the class how to make their favorite version of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Students were graded on: time management, organization, clarity and overall presentation.
The simplicity of demonstrating something everyone was familiar with put students at ease as they stood in front of their peers, but getting to put their own spin on this classic sandwich sparked a wealth of student creativity.
Students communicated important facts like the supplies needed and steps necessary to making their particular sandwiches. It was fun to see just how different the presentations were. Who knew there were so many creative variations to the traditional PB&J!!!
