The Alcorn County School Board (Board) is seeking input from all interested stakeholders concerning attributes and characteristics the school board should consider as it seeks a school superintendent. To this end, the Board has employed the Mississippi School Boards Association (MSBA) to conduct stakeholder meetings giving all interested parties the opportunity to voice their opinion.
MSBA will hold stakeholder meetings for all Alcorn School District School Administrators on March 19, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Alcorn School District Administrative Office.
MSBA will hold stakeholder meetings for all Alcorn School District teachers, assistant teachers, and other school staff members on March 19, 2019 at 4:30 P.M. at the Crossroads Arena.
MSBA will hold a community stakeholder meeting on March 19, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at the Crossroads Arena.
Dr. Mike Waldrop, Executive Director of MSBA, will lead the stakeholder meetings.
All stakeholders are encouraged to attend.
Using the stakeholder reports, the members of the Alcorn County School District School Board will determine which applicants best match the characteristics desired in the new superintendent and will interview those applicants.
The Alcorn County School District School Board will appoint a new superintendent who will assume duties on January 1, 2020.
