Good morning Biggersville family! All fall picture orders are due TOMORROW, Monday, October 7th. Anyone who missed our original picture day or who would like to have their child’s pictures remade, can do so on Thursday, October 17. Our PTC will meet tomorrow night at 5:30 to discuss plans for this year‘s fall festival (which will be held on November 16.) Please join us! Biggersville High School will be hosting their annual “BIGG Bash” tomorrow night from 5 to 8 PM. All our community is invited to participate in this fun family event. Fall Break begins this week!!! There will be no school this Friday, October 11, or Monday and Tuesday, October 14 & 15th. It’s a wonderful thing to be part of this Biggersville family! Have a great week!
Hello BES family! Tomorrow is sunglasses! Feel free to let your kiddos wear their sunglasses to school! Families are invited to come shop at our Book Fair in the library from 3-6pm tomorrow evening! T-shirt order forms were due in the office today, but we will accept late orders tomorrow! If you want a new Biggersville T-shirt, send the order form & money to school with your child tomorrow. Volleyball camp begins this Friday for girls in grades 1-6! If your child would like to participate, please return the camp form & $20 fee NO LATER than Wednesday! You are invited to attend the PreK-3rd grade “Pete the Cat” program THIS Friday at 1 PM in our gym. We are THRILLED to announce that we have met our “Literacy for Lions” goal!!! Every student at BES will receive a free book to bring home every month through May of this school year! We offer a BIGG THANK YOU to everyone who donated to make this possible! Hello Biggersville family! Grandparents days last week were a HUGE success! Thank you to everyone who came to spend time with our kiddos in their school home! Hello Biggersville family! This has been an amazing first month of school! We are halfway to our Literary for Lions goal! For every $9 donation we receive, a BES child will receive 9 FREE books to take home this school year! Please watch for flyers to come home this week & Please sponsor as many children as you can! Our goal is to send 2,700 books into our community this year! With your help, we can absolutely make this happen! Hello Biggersville FAMILY! Reminders; *Drop-off students daily from 7:20-7:45AM *Call the office before 2pm to make any changes to your child’s afternoon plans! *Car-line begins loading at 3:05 PM. NO walk-ups allowed to the afternoon car-line. *ALL parents must come through the office for a visitor pass every time before going anywhere in our school. *We will be watching the weather closely over the next several days. Due to the predicted heat wave, recess time may be shortened or moved inside. This is going to be another great week at BES!
Hello Biggersville family! We had a fantastic first full week of school this week. Our teachers & students are working so hard already...This is going to be another amazing year! Couple of reminders for the upcoming week; Drop offs begin each morning at 7:20 AM. No teachers are on duty before 7:20, so please wait until after this time to arrive on our campus each day. Afternoon car riders will begin loading at 3:05pm each day. Please wait in your vehicle in the car line to pick up your student. No walk-up dismissals will be allowed this year for safety reasons. No parents should be in either of the school buildings or the cafeteria at any point in the day without first coming through the elementary office to get a visitors tag. Please call the office before 2pm to make any changes to your child’s schedule! We are working hard to keep our school safe & secure! Thank you for trusting us with your kiddos! We can’t wait to have them back in our classrooms next week!
Hello BES family! We had a FANTASTIC 1st two days of school last week! Reminders; ~Students may be dropped off in our morning car lines beginning at 7:20am. Teachers are not on duty until 7:20 & it is not safe for students to be in the building before this time. Please wait until 7:20 to begin drop-offs! ~Afternoon car line for grades K-6 will be dismissed @ 3pm. For safety reasons, no parents are allowed to “walk up” to the car line. Please arrive at BES at 3pm to get in the car line & things should move rather quickly. ~Call the office BEFORE 2pm to make any changes to your child’s afternoon schedule. ~Parents are welcome walk students to classrooms through Wednesday this week. Beginning Thursday, all students should be dropped off in the car line each morning. Your teachers are working HARD to make sure this is one of the BEST years in BES history! We Can’t wait to see your kiddos in our classrooms tomorrow!
Hello Biggersville family! Tomorrow is the first day of a FABULOUS school year at BES! Parents are welcome to walk their kiddos to class for the first 5 days of school! All families who have a student in PreK, Kindergarten, First, or Second grades can drop off all their children each morning in front of the BES office. All other families should use the drop-off line around the football field for mornings drop-offs. PreK car line will load in front of the office at 2:40pm each afternoon. Regular car line will enter by the football field. Students will be dismissed for afternoon car line at 3pm. Be careful and watch for busses on the road beginning tomorrow! We cannot wait to have your babies in our classrooms tomorrow morning!
