The Alcorn Central High School Running Bears got their season kicked off yesterday.
The AC Cross Country team hosted an invitational run at the Farmington Heritage Park off of the Kimberly Clark Parkway.
Three schools competed in yesterday's event. Those schools were Adamsville, Thrasher, and Alcorn Central.
Coach Purvis was very pleased with the outcome of the event. The girls race had a total of 15 runners and the boys race had 21. Alcorn Central was able to win both races.
The Golden Bear cross country team will have two more meets at Heritage Park in October. Anyone is welcome to come and support the Golden Bears.
