Golden Bear football saw a win against the Rebels of Thrasher in their home opener last week.
Coach Matt Meeks of the Golden Bear squad said he was pleased with several great things from last week but knows that more is to come.
When asked what the conversation was like in the field house after the game last Friday, Meeks said, "I told the guys to enjoy the victory for a couple days but that they needed to return on Monday with a mentality for work." He noted that his guys have been super willing to put in some effort and prove what they can really do under those Friday night lights.
Tonight, the Bears have the Tigers of Middleton High School. This will be the first road game for the purple and gold. Kickoff will be at 7 PM.
