Rorie Selected to All-Star Team

Alcorn Central Senior, Kamron Rorie, has been selected to play in the Northeast Mississippi Football Coaches Association All-Star Game. This is a great opportunity for Rorie to showcase his talents one more time.

Kamron will join players from all over the northeastern part of the state towards the end of the semester. The game will be hosted by Northeast Mississippi Community College on May 20, 2020.

A panel of coaches with the NEMFCA selected players all throughout the region from schools of all sizes. Rorie was one of many selected to represent the NEMFCA North team. Kamron will be wearing the #30 on his jersey while representing the North team as a running back. This comes as no surprise to many as Kamron was a key component of the Golden Bear offense throughout the years.

We had a chance to talk with Alcorn Central Head Football Coach Matt Meeks about the selection. He had this to say about the news: “I’ve had the opportunity to coach Kam since he he was a 7th grader. He has always been a tough nosed kid. He has rushed thousands of times for thousands of yards, he has been the centerpiece of our offense and has been a key component in developing the smash mouth, power run football culture we are establishing here at AC. Proud of him as a man and a player for getting to represent AC in this game.“

Meeks and Rorie both ask that you mark your calendars, so you can come cheer him one one last time.
