ACHS Beta Club members were successful in multiple competitions in the National Beta Club Mississippi State Convention in Biloxi, March 1-3.
Several ACHS Beta Club members participated in individual events were it tested their abilities in multiple areas of study. Those included both art and academic fields. This is the second consecutive year the ACHS Beta Club has taken a trip to the Gulf Coast to compete in the State Convention. Listed below are those talented students who received awards and an opportunity to compete in the Beta Club National Convention in Fort Worth, Texas this coming June.
Michaela Holt - 2nd Place in Black & White Photography, 2nd Place in Sculpture, 4th Place in Mixed Media
Savannah Young- 5th Place in Jewelry Design
Luke Jones - 3rd Place in Senior Agri-Science
Students also competed as teams in engineering, service showcase, and two-dimensional design.
Students attending were as follows: Alyssa Cornelius, CJ McLemore, Savannah Young, Luke Jones, Michaela Holt, Brady Pellizzer, and Mia Mallard. They were accompanied by Beta Club Sponsors Susan Holt and Darla Nash.
