ASD DAR Citizenship Award Winners

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) organization annually recognizes outstanding high school seniors with the Good Citizenship Award. This prestigious accolade is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional qualities of dependability, leadership, service, and patriotism within their school and community.

Founded in 1890, the DAR is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization. With a mission to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism, DAR has been at the forefront of various community initiatives and recognizes outstanding individuals who embody the organization's values.

This year, the DAR recognized three exceptional recipients: Mattie Mynatt from Alcorn Central High School, Kerstyn Hamm from Biggersville High School, and Brody Hajek from Kossuth High School.

As active members of both their schools and communities, all three of these ASD students exemplify the principles of leadership, service, and patriotism that the Daughters of the American Revolution hold dear. As these young individuals continue to make a positive impact in their communities, their recognition serves as a testament to the importance of fostering these values for the betterment of society.

The Alcorn School District is proud of the way these students #LearnLeadEXCEL and congratulates them on receiving this recognition!
