Child Find

The Alcorn and Corinth School Districts are participating in an ongoing statewide effort to identify, locate, and evaluate children, birth through the age of 21, who may have a disability.  Child Find is a process required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to ensure children with special needs receive early intervention or special education services as early as possible.  School district coordinators work with local agencies to identify and locate children in school and out of school who may be in need of special education services.  The information will be used to help determine present and future program needs in the hopes of providing a free and appropriate public education to all children with a disability.  Anyone concerned about a child who would like to make a Child Find request, should contact the following individuals:
