KHS CLASS OF 2020 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - SAMANTHA JEAN BARNETT

Samantha is the daughter of Ken Barnett and Christine Wolfe. She enjoys dancing, researching, watching documentaries, debating, and hanging out with her friends. After graduation, she plans to go to Mississippi State for four years and obtain a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, while minoring in psychology. Samantha intends on becoming an active member in philanthropy and the student body. After receiving her degree, she plans to begin her dream of helping kids who feel like they don’t have a voice and give them that voice.

Class Rank: 36
GPA: 3.97

Samantha's thoughts at this time:
"Out of our entire 12 years of high school, the last three most important months were stripped away from us. It’s sad and surreal, yes, but do not let missing these three months affect your entire future. We are 18, our lives are just starting, and there is so much more out in the world. I understand right now everyone wants what was taken from our senior year, but our senior year isn’t the end of the road. Your path that God gave you is much longer than that. Keep your heads held high and always remember God has a plan."
