This week is Mississippi School Board Appreciation Week. We want to take each day to recognize on of our five wonderful board members!
Alcorn School District would like to recognize Mrs. Katriena Burgess for her service to the students, teachers, and families of the Alcorn School District. Mrs. Burgess is a retired teacher of 27 years and brings her knowledge of education, passion for progress, and love of Alcorn County students to the board of education.
She is the newest member of the board and is thankful to represent the people of the 1st District. She is a graduate of Alcorn Central High School and Mississippi State University. Her favorite part about the Alcorn School District is the people. “No matter which school you are at, there is always someone who cares.”
