Thank you to MS State Trooper Daniel Tucker with the Mississippi Highway Patrol for speaking with Coach Rowsey's Drivers' Education class this morning. He spoke with them about highway safety rules with an emphasis on tips for new drivers.
Bedtime Books with Dr. Brooks is coming to BIGG! Each week or so I will post a video of me, or sometimes some special guests, reading a bedtime book. Watch for some fun things to go along with these book videos. Stay tuned this evening for the first bedtime book of the school year.
September Newsletter
Our CKH word for the month of September is empathy. Please share ways your child can show empathy this next month in the comments below. Send pictures of your child or family showing empathy to Dr. Brooks at cbrooks@alcornschools.org to be entered into a drawing for a prize.
Attendance plays a large role in funding and accreditation in our schools. September is Attendance Awareness Month. We will be giving away two $50 Walmart gift cards at the end of September. Any student that has perfect attendance for the month of September will be entered into the drawing. We love to see our kiddos at school. They fill our days with BIGG blessings.

Mrs. Bonnie and Mrs. Molly have been working on different types of art mediums with their students. Last week they used watercolors to paint Van Gogh's famous sunflowers.

Our morning car line and bus line is improving everyday. Thank you all for your patience as we are all getting back in the routine. Also, all Kindergarten students eating breakfast at school will go to cafeteria when they arrive instead of going with their class. We are off to a GREAT start Lions!
