The Alcorn School District recently celebrated the careers of eleven exceptional educators and staff members who are retiring at the conclusion of the 2024–2025 school year. Together, these individuals have contributed more than 300 years of service to the students, families, and communities of Alcorn County.
Their years of faithful dedication have left a lasting impact on generations of learners. Through countless lessons, tireless hours, and unwavering commitment, each retiree has helped shape the future of our district.

Sandy Blackard, Kossuth Elementary – 30 years of service
Rhoda Cannon, Alcorn Central Middle – 25.5 years of service
Richey Dillinger, Kossuth High – 28 years of service

Alicia Hardwick, Alcorn Central Middle – 27 years of service
Tonya Hodum, Kossuth – 25 years of service
Deborah Jackson, Biggersville High – 27 years of service
Melanie Lee, Biggersville High – 35 years of service
Sherry Shawl, Biggersville High – 22.5 years of service
Lisa Smith, ASD Special Education Office – 32 years of service
Superintendent Brandon Quinn expressed the district’s deep appreciation for the contributions of this year’s retirees.
