The Kossuth High School Aggie Cheer Squad delivered a performance for the history books at the 2026 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC)—earning TWO National Championship titles in TWO separate categories in ONE day.
The Aggies first took the mat in the Gameday category, where they captured the National Championship, showcasing elite crowd engagement, precision, and school spirit against the best teams in the nation.
Then came the challenge that defines true champions.
After securing their first national title, these student-athletes were tasked with managing the excitement, pressure, and emotion of that victory—only to refocus, reset, and rise again. Returning to the mat for the Traditional category, the Aggie Cheer Squad delivered another exceptional performance, earning their second National Championship of the day.
Two performances. Two categories. Two National Titles. One day.
Hosted by Varsity Spirit, the National High School Cheerleading Championship is the most prestigious high school cheer competition in the country. Established in 1980, NHSCC recognizes cheerleaders for excellence both on the sidelines and on the mat. Today, it brings together the nation’s top programs at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, featuring professional-level production, judging, and live national broadcast on VarsityTV.
Success at this level reflects months of disciplined preparation, teamwork, and commitment. The ability to perform at a championship level—twice in one day—speaks to the character, mental toughness, and leadership of these student-athletes.
The Alcorn School District proudly celebrates the Kossuth High School Aggie Cheer Squad for exemplifying what it truly means to Learn, Lead, EXCEL! Their achievement is a powerful reminder that when students commit to growth, rise to leadership moments, and pursue excellence without limits, extraordinary results follow—both on the mat and far beyond.
