It’s time for PreK registration at BES!
Hello BES family! We’re off to a great start to our 2nd semester! Progress reports will come home on Wednesday this week. Literacy for Lions books will also come home on Feb 3. In honor of Black History Month all our books will feature true stories of black Americans who have impacted our world in amazing ways! I hope you will read through these wonderful books with your kiddos! On Feb 12, we will celebrate showing love for others through spreading kindness! You do NOT need to send anything for our ‘kindness day’ celebrations! (Please do NOT plan to send any valentine cards or gifts to school this year either.) We will provide everything needed for all our kiddos to have a great day! No school on Feb 15 in honor of President’s Day On Feb 22, all BES students in grades 3-6 will be able to try out for this year’s ASD Honor Choir! Watch for info coming home soon. February is looking like it will be a FABULOUS month! See your kiddos in our classrooms tomorrow! ~Mrs. White

BES Parents- Due to the rise of COVID-19 positive cases on the Biggersville campus, it has become necessary to move ALL BES students into a Distance Learning format for the remainder of this week. Students will NOT ATTEND CLASSES AT Biggersville Elementary School Tuesday, Nov 10- Friday, Nov 13. All students grades K-4 have been sent home with paper/pencil packets today. Students in grades 5 & 6 have been sent home with their iPads AND some paper work. These 5/6 grade students know how to access their Google Classroom and should check daily for assignments. I do apologize for the inconvenience I know this causes many of our families, however, I firmly feel that this is the best call to make for our students and staff at this time. Should your student test positive or be exposed to COVID-19 during this week of distance learning, PLEASE CALL the BES office and let us know. Thank you. -Mrs. White

Hello Biggersville family! Thank you for your help in the afternoon Carline. The past two days have been much better! Our number one goal is to keep all our people safe… Thank you for helping do that!! Most of our younger students were sent home with progress reports today! Our older students will bring home progress reports tomorrow. Distance learning students can pick up progress reports the next time they are on campus this week. Our school district is getting an Internet upgrade! This should help with many technological problems we have had this year. Tomorrow, however, we expect our phones, which are Internet-based, to be unavailable for most of the morning. Please be certain to send your child’s teacher a note if you need to make afternoon travel adjustments tomorrow as you may NOT be able to reach us during the morning hours via telephone. It’s a wonderful thing to be part of this Biggersville family! Have a great night! ~Mrs. White

Hello BES family! I hope you have all had a wonderful 3 day weekend! -Progress reports should come home on Thursday this week. -Distance learner work packets can be picked up from the BES office tomorrow. -AFTERNOON CAR LINE ANNOUNCEMENT- So many families have been arriving early to our afternoon carline that it is becoming a safety hazard on Highway 45. PLEASE arrive at Biggersville NO EARLIER than 1:45 each afternoon. We have both elementary & high school students moving across campus from 1:30-2pm daily & we keep our carline gate closed for their safety. Students will load carline from 2:00- 2:20pm daily. We are going to keep your kiddos safe until you arrive to pick them up, but we need your help in keeping all our BES families out of the highway and safe until it is time to load!! DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 1:45! It’s a wonderful thing to be part of this BIGGERSVILLE family! If I can be of any help to you this week, please give me a call! 🦁~Mrs. White

BES Distance Learning Family- THANK YOU for working so hard to get distance learning figured out over these past 2 weeks! Hopefully you have been able to establish some daily routines & are ready to rock-n-roll in the upcoming week! Please know, we, too, are working diligently to make sure we are getting your children everything they need. Many of you have called with iPad issues in the past 2 weeks. We have been working to get the needed answers, but our district has come up with a better way to handle these questions. ANYTIME YOU HAVE A TECHNOLOGY ISSUE, please use this link to contact our tech department. They should respond to your question promptly. Distance Learning Technology Help Ticket https://forms.gle/aULapfMEXCyLihCX9 Taking on the responsibility of being a full-time teacher is NO small task! We appreciate all your efforts & thank you for partnering with us to help meet your students academic needs! 🦁 ~ Mrs. White

BES Family- I want you to know...your kiddos are AMAZING!!! This is the last day of our first full week of school, & we are starting to settle into our school routines. I have the BEST JOB in the world because I get to watch your kiddos grow every single day! & THEY ARE GROWING ALREADY! I also want you to know what an INCREDIBLE job your kiddos are doing handling the one thing many parents were most worried about- face masks... Masks are on 100% of the time in our hallways, & easily 90%+ of the time in our classrooms! I have TRULY been amazed at how well everyone is doing! These kiddos have done everything we have asked of them this week. Academic work, papers returned, face masks being worn, being kind, doing their best, & making good choices! It REALLY IS an amazing thing to be part of this Biggersville family! Thank you for trusting us with your kiddos! We are doing everything in our power to keep them safe and help them grow! Happy Friday everyone! 🦁~Mrs. White
