Kossuth High School is proud to announce their 2023 Homecoming Queen, Miss Aven Mathis, and her Court. This year's court features a group of young ladies who embody the true spirit of Kossuth High School. They're not just outstanding students but also outgoing, involved, and full of passion. 

Representing the freshman class is Miss Audarreuna Moore. Audarreuna is a dancer on the KHS dance team and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She enjoys participating at the HOPE food pantry at her church. Also, she likes assisting the head dance instructor at Phillips Dance Company with dance classes of all ages. She also provides lessons to girls who are competing in pageants.

Audarrenuna shared a few sentiments with us: “I would like to thank the Class of 2027 for nominating me as your Freshman Maid. I will cherish this moment along with all the other moments we have shared throughout the years and will share throughout our journey at KHS. This is truly an honor. Thank you Class of 2027!”


Representing the sophomore class of Kossuth High School is sophomore maid, Miss Brenyn Wilbanks. Brenyn is a member of the Kossuth Aggie volleyball and tennis teams. She participates in FCA and is involved with the Modern Woodmen Service Club. She is an active member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church where she loves being a part of the youth program. Brenyn enjoys spending time with her older sister, Bailey and hanging out with her friends and family.

Brenyn wanted to share a few thoughts with us: “It is such an honor to be a part of this year’s homecoming court. Thank you to the sophomore class for selecting me to represent them. I am so excited to spend the day and evening with these girls, representing KHS. Go Aggies!”


Representing the junior class of Kossuth High School is Miss Kalee Mayo.  Kalee is a member of Oakland Baptist Church. At school, she is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, and Student Government Association as a representative. Kalee has been a member of the Kossuth Aggie Band for five years.

Kalee had a few thoughts regarding this experience: "It means the world to me to represent the Junior class and this magnificent school on the 2023 homecoming court! I'm thrilled to be given this opportunity by my closest friends. My one message I would like all of you to know is, you are created in the image of the King. Psalm 139:14 says 'I will praise the; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.' 

You are all fearfully and wonderfully made, never forget who you are and whose you are. I can not thank you all enough for voting for me! Kossuth will always hold a special place in my heart! Go Aggies!"


Representing the senior class of Kossuth High School is Miss Avery Greene. Avery is a captain on the KHS cheer squad and a member of the KHS Volleyball tennis teams. She is also a KHS diamond girl. Avery is a member of the National Honor Society and a volunteer for the KHS Mentoring Program.

Avery would like to say, "Thank you Class of 2024 for electing me to represent our class as Senior Maid! We have the best class and I am so honored to represent us!"


Chosen by the Kossuth High School Aggie Football Team as Football Maid is Miss Claudia Lowrey. She is a senior captain on the Kossuth High School Dance team. She is a member of several clubs and organizations including FCA, National Honor Society, SGA representative, and Modern Woodman Service Club. Claudia loves children and is excited to be a part of the KHS Community Mentoring Program. Claudia is an active member of West Corinth Baptist Church.

Claudia would like to take this opportunity to say, “Big thank you, to my Aggie football team for selecting me and for allowing me to fulfill my dream of becoming Football Maid. I love dancing and cheering you on every Friday night, and this is a huge honor to be able to represent the team in this way. This is an incredible moment for me and one that I will cherish always!  Thank You, Aggies!"


Representing the entire student body as Princess is Miss Cailyn Johnson. Cailyn is a 4-year member of the two-time State Champion Kossuth Cheer Team. She is also a 4-year member of the KHS softball team, member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a mentor in the Community Connections Mentoring program. Cailyn is an active member of Booneville First Methodist Church.

Cailyn shared a few thoughts about this experience: "I would like to thank the KHS student body for allowing me to represent them as homecoming princess. I have made so many memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. I am so thankful for KHS and the community. Thank you KHS!"


Representing the entire student body as Princess is Miss Eva Null. Eva is a member of the Kossuth High School cross country, cheer, basketball, track, and golf teams. She is also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Government Association serving as an officer, and National Honor Society. Eva is also a class officer and has been a diamond girl for the baseball team for two years. She has won two state championships with cheer and one with cross country. Eva is very involved with her church youth group, and she loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Eva shared a few sentiments with us: "Being elected to carry on the role as a KHS princess for the 2023 Homecoming Court is such a great honor, to say the least. To share this opportunity with some of my best friends, makes it that much better!! I would like to thank the Class of 2024 and the KHS student body for this experience. I am so blessed by the many memories that have been made here and I will cherish them forever. KHS has a piece of my heart, I’ll love you always!!"


Representing the entire student body as Kossuth High School’s 2023 Homecoming Queen is Miss Aven Mathis. Aven is Kossuth High School’s student body president and vice president of her senior class. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the KHS Mentoring Program, and Loan Oak Baptist Church. Aven is one of the captains of the KHS cheer team and captain of the KHS volleyball team.

Aven would like to say, "Thank you, KHS, for electing me as your 2023 homecoming queen! I am very honored to represent such an amazing school! I love this school and the community that surrounds it! I cannot thank this school enough for all the memories and friendships it has brought me. Thank you Kossuth High School for this wonderful honor!"
