AGGIES PLAY ON

Playing in a high school band and then continuing to play in college on a scholarship can be an exciting and rewarding experience for talented musicians. In order to earn a scholarship to play in a college band, one typically needs to be highly skilled on his or her instrument or musical discipline. That tradition is exactly what Kossuth High School is producing in its “Maroon Band From Aggie Land.”

The Kossuth Aggie Band is well represented at the next level this year, with a total of 18 students participating in college bands, ALL ON FULL SCHOLARSHIP!! Students are in the bands at NEMCC, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State.

The “Showband from Tigerland” includes Riley Becvar, Zach Dildy, Tanner Franks, Alexis Gifford, Calob Gray, Tyler Gregory, Erin Irvin, Makayla Meteer, Wyatt Mitchell, Matthew Peacock, and Kaden Simmons.

The “Pride of the South” includes JT Cox, DJ Phillips, Levi Sides, Tatton Waldon, and Lainey Waldrep.

Finally, the “Famous Maroon Band” includes our very own band director’s son, Nathan Harvell.

The Aggie Band is under the direction of Mr. Brandon Harvell and Assistant Director Dianne Cole. We are so proud of our Aggie Band alumni!
