Mrs. Austin’s class watched *The Outsiders*, and the students really brought the characters to life. They got creative making the characters and the story super relatable. It made the whole experience a lot more fun and engaging!
Mr. Killough’s class had a blast building LEGO marble mazes and cardboard box houses. The students got hands-on, using their creativity and problem-solving skills to design their projects. It was a fun and engaging way to learn while building something cool!

We are excited that one of our own, Mrs. Amy Marsh, is debuting her original play at Jacinto this week. She has written this musical, showcasing musicians and music from MS artists, for a fundraiser to help support the Jacinto Foundation. Our own Alcorn County school board member, Charlette Foster is the Executive Director of the foundation. Many of Mrs. Marsh's drama club students are helping with the production. The show is full of comedy and great music from many local musicians. It opens this Thursday night at the old Jacinto schoolhouse.

Homecoming dress up days for the week of October 21st -25th!!

Hunter Wilbanks had his 6th grade students calculate the speed of toys by measuring their distance and the time of motion.

Mrs. Smith's 8th grade science students have completed two labs during the first nine weeks. Life science skills like labeling the phases of the cell cycle in the Oreo lab help students see all of the parts of the cell. They practiced modeling speciation during the skittles speciation lab.

The Alcorn School District is aware of and will be monitoring the incoming weather situation this evening. Should the need for schedule changes arise, we will communicate as quickly as possible regarding all decisions.
