Congratulations to the following for making the 23/24 boys basketball teams.

Good afternoon! Hopefully your summer is off to a great start. Here at KMS, we are cleaning up and getting ready for the new school year. If your child has left any clothing items please come look through what has been turned in by Friday at noon to pick up anything that belongs to your child. At that time, everything left will be donated to a local clothes closet. Thank you for everything and helping us close out a great year.

Students in Mrs. Callahan's class are learning various methods of measurement, including how to use digital multimeters and electric digital calipers. These measurement kits are part of the STEM 101 grant that KMS received this school year. Our CTE classes, partnered with STEM 101, truly bring the learning to life for KMS students!

KMS 8th grade students have spent the past two weeks working on a speaker project from STEM 101, a STEM based grant funded by Ashley Furniture. They built their speakers from scratch, built the box, assembled the control boards, and tested for functionality and audio quality. Our students had a blast with this project and will continue to learn new skills as they explore further STEM 101 projects in the future.

KMS Drama Club members learned stage combat techniques and played several improv games from current drama students at Northeast Mississippi Community College. Mr. Schager, the NEMCC theatre director worked with KMS students and offered them encouragement to continue their interest in all things theatre related. KMS students are very excited to continue their preparation for their next big performance!

Kossuth Middle School students have begun their ukulele project in STEM class. They build, paint, and get to play their instrument as they learn new skills. The ukulele project is part of the three year STEM 101 grant that KMS was awarded at the start of this school year. STEM 101 brings the learning to life as students learn about electrical circuits, magnetism, sound dynamics, and many other valuable skills.

Kossuth Middle School students created hearts to make a Valentine’s quilt pattern. 5th and 6th grade classes enjoy art projects that are included in the KMS Innovation Lab. They engage in digital art , design, and unplugged art projects.
