Dear Parents and Guardians, As our students learn to navigate friendships, challenges, and growing responsibilities, the words they choose carry more weight than they may realize. We kindly ask for your support in helping your child understand the power of their words. A kind comment can uplift someone’s day, while a careless one can cause real harm. Please take time to talk with your child about being intentional with their language, speaking with respect, and choosing kindness in all situations. Together, we can help shape a school culture where every student feels valued, safe, and supported. Thank you for being our partners in this effort. WE ARE ACMS!

🎉 Congratulations to Our Outstanding 8th Graders, Jeremiah Gass and Kash Holcomb! 🎉 We are incredibly proud to announce that Jeremiah and Kash have been selected by the prestigious Lott Leadership Institute at Ole Miss! 🌟 This is an amazing accomplishment that highlights their dedication, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence. Being chosen for such an esteemed program is a testament to their hard work and potential as future leaders. The Lott Institute for Rising Ninth Graders, a partnership between the University of Mississippi’s Lott Leadership Institute and the Division of Outreach, is a program designed to develop critical thinking and leadership skills in soon-to-be high school freshmen. Its aim is to cultivate and inspire honest, compassionate, and responsive leaders who will focus on responsibility and stewardship. Every year students who complete the program return to their high schools and put their new skills to work for the betterment of the community Only 40 students are selected from applicants that come from all over the state of Mississippi as well as neighboring states. They are given residential experience on the Ole Miss campus, study public policy and leadership, all while forming bonds with peers in the program. As part of the experience, students mingle with college administrators, student leaders and active community members while participating in current event discussions and decision-making activities. Students will also participate in a service project to drive home the notion of stewardship from our leaders.
