ORIENTATIONS at ACMS - We will follow guidelines... wearing masks, social distancing and temperature checks. Monday, August 3rd - 6th Grade @4:00 - 5th Grade @5:15 Tuesday, August 4th - 7th Grade @1:00 - 8th Grade @2:15 - One parent only please - Meet in gym to begin - Brief overview and meet with teachers in gym - We will then dismiss giving you time to walk through school - Need to be off campus 15 minutes before the next session begins ONE DAY CLOSER! "SCHOOL STUFF" Distance Learning Folks- we are in the process of contacting each family with further information as to the process. We hope to get to everyone by early next week. 5th / 6th Grade Students and Parents will be able to meet their teachers and check out their new rooms, tour the school, etc. on August 3rd. - Times will be announced early next week. Still working out logistics for 7th / 8th orientation. - 7th / 8th can pick up schedules tomorrow and Friday 8:00-11:00 In case you missed it, students will be dismissed daily at 2:00 to start the school year. STUDENT SCHEDULES for 7th and 8th graders are available online AND for Walk Up-Pick Up Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 8:00-11:00. Ms. Eaton will be stationed outside the main office and we will be available to answer questions about schedules and registration! Drive through, walk up, pick up, ask questions as needed and don't forget to wear your mask! We ask that you please do not call the office concerning schedule changes. BREAKFAST and LUNCH! I still remember many of the ladies that fed me at Glen and ACHS when I was a student! The names and faces have changed but the love these folks have for our students has not! There will be some adjustments and changes of course, but we have a plan that allows our cafeteria folks to continue making those memories and building those relationships with our kiddos! WE ARE AC!

MASKS FOR BACK TO SCHOOL! Having your child wear a mask for a short time each day NOW will make it more comfortable for them when school begins. There will be times when masks are "encouraged" and times when masks are "required" during the school day. ORIENTATION for 5th and 6th students and parents will be finalized soon with details coming next week! Hang in there just a bit longer because we are one day closer! WE ARE AC!

A BACKPACK/SCHOOL SUPPLY GIVEAWAY is this SATURDAY 10:00am - 12:00pm at Living Free Ministries (behind Magnolia Funeral Home). We are excitedly preparing for the students to be back in those seats! 1. Thursday/Friday (16th & 17th) 9:00-12:00. - Parents who want to meet Face-to-Face and get more info on Online Registration processes or anything else can drop by the school office and we can help. **MSDH and CDC Guidelines will be followed. 2. Distance Learning Only...Deadline is this Friday (17th) and the form is on our website. 3. Work continues as we freshen up and realign our buildings and classrooms! More information concerning opportunities to meet teachers, see schedules and visit classrooms will be announced as we finalize plans and move closer to that first day back!

Calling all 7th/8th Grade Girls' (and Parents) interested in playing basketball! We will meet in the High School Gym tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5:30 to discuss practice plans and requirements for the month of July. No need to bring practice gear tomorrow... WE ARE AC!

Hello ACMS Family! If you see a tired teacher this summer it is because they are working hard to improve their rooms and get the school ready for our students to return as scheduled on August 5th! The Alcorn County Health Department will be offering extended hours to provide immunization services for students who need them to return to school. Please take a look at the dates and times below. Tuesday, June 23 and Thursday, June 25 - 8 am until 7 pm. Saturday, June 27 - 10 am – 4 pm Tuesday, June 30 - 8 am until 7 pm. Due to COVID-19, the Alcorn County Health Department is not accepting walk-ins. Please call 662-287-6121 to schedule an appointment.
