Mark Wooten, Rotary Student of the Month

   The Alcorn Career and Technology Center was pleased to name Mark Wooten as the ACTC Rotary Student for March.   Mark is a senior at Kossuth High School and a two-year program completer in Polymer Science and Digital Media. 

   Mark is an active member of the FBLA where he has placed 1st and 2nd in District Competitions and 5th in the State Competition in the Global Business Category.  He is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and participated in the Kossuth band for three years.  Mark was chosen Student of the Quarter in Digital Media first Quarter.  He has helped out with our Ninth Grade Recruitment tours for the past three years.  He volunteered to help with the Fifth Grade Summer Science Camp put on by the Polymer Science department, and he has volunteered locally at the AMEN Food Pantry. 

Currently Mark has scored a 33 on his ACT, and upon graduation he plans to enroll at Mississippi State University and major in Computer Science.
