Students in ACTC’s Lodging, Hospitality, and Tourism program are helping prepare historic downtown Corinth for the holiday season through a partnership with Main Street Corinth and Visit Corinth.

Led by instructor Kaylee Tomlinson, students assembled lights that will be displayed on Franklin Street as part of The Christmas Collective. Beginning November 6, the celebration will feature more than 40,000 Christmas lights throughout downtown, festive activities for families, and the Nutcracker Trail.

The project gave students an opportunity to connect classroom lessons in hospitality and tourism with a community event. Their work will become part of a holiday experience that welcomes residents and visitors to downtown Corinth.

For the students, seeing the lights on display will offer a special reminder of their contribution to the community.
