Help us congratulate Zoey Kelly and Ben Lovell, students at Kossuth Middle School, for their impressive 5th place finish out of 14 boats at their recent tournament on Elvis Presley Lake in Tupelo!
Even more exciting, Zoey and Ben are currently 5th in points out of 22 teams in the Mississippi BassMaster Junior High School Division Trail, just 33 points shy of 1st place! They’ve been holding their own against teams that have been fishing for years, and we couldn’t be prouder. With their determination and the strong effort from all of our teams, we expect several Kossuth anglers to qualify for state in May. Based on total points, Kossuth currently has 3 teams in the top 10!
This marks the fourth tournament of the 2025–2026 season for our anglers, and they continue to represent Kossuth with skill, resilience, and hard work. Angling is far more than a relaxing day on the water—these students spend eight hours straight on the boat, fishing through all weather conditions and competing against top-notch teams from across North Mississippi.
This is the first year for the Kossuth Fishing Team, which currently includes six junior teams (5th–8th grade) with 12 dedicated student anglers. They’re already making waves, and we’re excited to see the program grow. With growing interest, we would love to see high school anglers join the effort as well!
Please join us in celebrating these hardworking Aggie Anglers!

We are proud to celebrate Mrs. April Cole for her outstanding dedication to our students and school community. As a member of our math department, she works tirelessly to prepare students for success in Algebra I, Geometry, and Advanced Math.
A proud graduate of the Alcorn School District, Mrs. Cole now pours that same commitment, passion, and excellence back into the next generation right here at Kossuth High School. Her love for teaching and her students shines through in everything she does.
Join us in congratulating Mrs. Cole on this well-deserved honor!
