Please welcome new staff member, Megan Welsh. Megan is joining our third grade team! Hi! My name is Megan Welsh, and I am so excited to join ACES’s third grade team this year! I’ve been a teacher for six years in both general education and in special education. I earned my degrees from Spring Hill College in Alabama and from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. I’ve lived a little bit of everywhere (including Wisconsin, South Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma, to name a few!), but am thrilled to call Corinth my new home! My family includes my mom, dad, and younger brother, who is studying to be a vet. I also have a silly little rescue dog named Floop. He likes taking walks, escaping from his kennel, chasing tennis balls, and making nests out of laundry and blankets! When I’m not teaching, I like reading mystery and fantasy books, trying new recipes, doing arts and crafts, and binge-watching my favorite TV show (Parks and Rec). I can’t wait to start this fantastic year!

Each month, we have a Capturing Kids’ Hearts word of the month that we focus on teaching throughout the school. As part of our CKH process, we recognize students in each grade level who are doing an exceptional job with showing the CKH character traits. A big shout out goes to the students who earned recognition for showing Responsibility and Respect! Each student recognized received a CKH sign to be proudly displayed in their yard at home. Way to go! We’re so proud of you!
