
Tomorrow, Wed. May 7th, 3rd & 4th grade students will take their State Math Test. Please make sure your child is at school by 7:50am, we will start promptly after school starts. Thank you for all your support during this testing season.

The KES Award Ceremony will be Tuesday, May 20th, in the High School Gym. The times of each grade are listed below.

KES Science Fair Participants: NEMCC has just informed us that projects can be set up this afternoon from 4:30-7:30pm at the Union 2nd floor. A science fair note was sent home today with participants with a schedule for tomorrow. If you can't set up today, you will be able to do so from 8:00-9:00am in the morning. Students need to be at NE tomorrow morning, NO LATER THAN 9:00.

For those that have students participating in the Regional Science Fair, that date has been changed to Wednesday, March 19th. More info will be sent as we get it.

There will be no KES after school tutoring for the rest of this week. We will resume tutoring after Spring Break on Monday, March 17.

Here's the March Newsletter! This week we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Week and students in 2nd-4th grade will have their Math benchmark test on Tues., March 4th and ELA benchmark test on Wed., March 5th. ONLY ONE WEEK TILL SPRING BREAK!!


For those wondering whether to keep your child home or send them to school, our school nurse has included a very helpful diagram. Please refer to it and if you have any additional questions, please feel free to call the school to speak with her. We have the best interest of all our students in mind.


Due to unforeseen circumstances, the KES PTO Meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

This week, we proudly honor and appreciate our amazing school counselor, Leah Locke, for her unwavering dedication to our students, staff, and school community. From helping students work through tough moments to celebrating their wins, Leah is always there with a kind word, great advice, and the biggest heart. She’s not just a counselor—she’s a cheerleader, problem-solver, and all-around superstar who makes our school a better place every single day. We’re so lucky to have you, Leah! Thank you for making such a difference in our school community.


Those students that are planning on participating in the KES Science Fair, the orange science fair form with the title and information is due back to school tomorrow, Friday, January 24th.

The Kossuth Methodist Church will open back up Sunday at 4:00pm for anyone that doesn't have adequate heat. This is not a homeless shelter, it is simply a place to stay warm while the temps are so cold. Three meals are served daily, they have cots and bedding available, as well as transportation if needed. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is free to the public. If you have any questions contact the shelter 662-664-4197. The shelter is open 24/7.

The KES Beta Club is partnering with the American Legion to help keep members of our community warm this winter season. If you would like to help, we are currently taking donations of winters hats, gloves, scarves and fuzzy warm socks. Your donations can be dropped off at the KES office or sent by a student to school. All donations are due no later than January 30th. Thank you for your support!


Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration will be next month, February 15th & 17th!
Pre-K has limited spots available. Make plans to join us one of the 2 days to get your children registered.


Join us tonight at 6pm for our monthly PTO Meeting! We have a lot to discuss. The meeting will take place in the multi purpose building next to the KES gym. We look forward to seeing you.
