The Kossuth Methodist Church will open back up Sunday at 4:00pm for anyone that doesn't have adequate heat. This is not a homeless shelter, it is simply a place to stay warm while the temps are so cold. Three meals are served daily, they have cots and bedding available, as well as transportation if needed. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is free to the public. If you have any questions contact the shelter 662-664-4197. The shelter is open 24/7.
The KES Beta Club is partnering with the American Legion to help keep members of our community warm this winter season. If you would like to help, we are currently taking donations of winters hats, gloves, scarves and fuzzy warm socks. Your donations can be dropped off at the KES office or sent by a student to school. All donations are due no later than January 30th. Thank you for your support!

Due to the cold weather and our priority of keeping children safe and out of the cold, Kossuth Elementary School (KES) will be unable to walk your student over to Kossuth Middle School (KMS) for carline, starting Wednesday January 8, 2025.
Please adjust your plans accordingly, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety and comfort of our students. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your flexibility and support!
Happy New Year! We are so excited to see all the smiling faces of all our kiddos! Be on the lookout for our monthly newsletter to be sent home, there is a lot of fun things coming up.
We wanted to let everyone know that there is a warming shelter at Kossuth Methodist Church for anyone that doesn't have adequate heat. There is transportation if needed. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You may contact the shelter directly at 662-664-4197. The shelter is open 24/7 until this cold snap is over.
We encourage any student that would like to participate in the KES Science Fair to begin getting ideas over the holiday break
Mrs. Linda Hatcher's after school students will need to be picked up at the KHS cafeteria Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week. Thursday pick up should be back at the KES Gym unless otherwise noted.
December got here quickly and so quick we forgot to send out this month's newsletter.
Help us spread the holiday cheer!
We do apologize but Mrs. Linda Hatchers kids are at KHS cafeteria today instead of KES gym.
Mrs. Linda Hatcher's after school students will be picked up at the KES GYM STARTING TODAY until further notice.
