We are in the final stretch of the school year! Here are some important dates and events coming up for KES in April. We do have state testing quickly approaching, please take note of the testing dates and make sure your student is present. Be on the look out for this calendar to come home in the next day or so.
KES Spring Pictures will be tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20th! Package information will be sent home today! Students must bring $2.00 to have their picture made.
KES 2023-2024 yearbooks go on sale today through March 31st! Look for an order form to be sent home. You can drop your order form and money off at the KES office or you can purchase one through the following link. The cost is $40.

Come out tonight and join us as the 3rd & 4th grade Music Makers present their musical: Bremen Town Jam! The performance will be in the KES auditorium and begins at 6:00pm. Doors will not open until 5:30.
The KES Book Fair starts next week! It will be Feb. 26 - Mar 1. Students will be able to shop the book fair on their scheduled library and music activity days. Please make sure to send money with your child if you want them to purchase anything from the book fair. You may also use the online shopping option or set up an Ewallet account through the link below.

NEW this year, we will have "Book Fair Family Day" on Mon. Feb. 26th. Parents can come shop with their child during their activity time. Please let your child’s teacher know if you plan to attend. Parents must check in through the office. This is for Monday only!! We will also have Family Night that Monday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the KES Library.
Per Scholastic’s tax policy, sales tax will be charged on all purchases. Please keep this in mind when sending money with your child.

Tuesday, February 27th, KES 3rd & 4th grade Music Makers will present the musical: Bremen Town Jam! Music Makers will perform for the KES students during the school day. We invite family and friends to come out and join us that night for the 6 o'clock performance. The program will be in the KES auditorium Tuesday, February 27th at 6:00pm.
We want to celebrate National School Counselor Week by expressing our gratitude for all the incredible work Mrs. Leah does for our school. She goes above and beyond to ensure our students feel cared for, supported, and understood. Her kind and compassionate nature shines through in everything she does. Whether it's assisting students with their emotional needs, providing guidance in their academic journey, or helping resolve conflicts, she consistently makes a positive impact on their lives.
Mrs. Leah, thank you for being an invaluable member of our team at KES. Your contributions to our school community is truly appreciated and we are very fortunate to have you as our school counselor.

While major roads appear to be safe today, many smaller roads in the Alcorn School District are still clearing. As such, we will assess road conditions later this afternoon and a decision regarding ASD Schools will be communicated later this evening.
