KES: Parent Night Online Registration for 2022-2023 school year, Tuesday , May 10 4-6 pm.

KES Staff- Tomorrow is the MAAP ELA 3rd grade retest and the 4th grade Cursive Writing Test. I will need TAs, Proctors, and Hall Monitors for those tests. I will send class assignments by email and place on the Daily Announcements page this afternoon. Please watch for an email or look on the page for your name. Thank you for your understanding!

KES Staff: The breakfast provided by Modern Woodsman has been changed to Monday!

KES STAFF: Modern Woodsman will be providing breakfast for all Kossuth Schools in the morning at the KMS gym starting at 7:00. Please come early and walk over to receive your breakfast. We hope to have some volunteers to help with duty posts. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

KES Message: This message contains instructions for the cross country camp that is being held on April 19th and 20th. 3rd and 4th graders will meet in the auditorium and high school students will walk them to the track. Students will need to be picked up in front of the high school field house between 4:05 - 4:15 p.m. *Detergent Fundraiser money is due Tuesday, April 19. Please send forms and money with your child tomorrow.

KES Assistants: Part 2 Dyslexia training is today at 12:00-2:00. All assistants must attend this final training. Please report to Allie Glissen’s 4th grade classroom at 12:00. You may bring your lunch. Thanks!

KES INFO DUE TO HOMECOMING... 1. If you are checking your child out today, please check out NO LATER than 1:00. Please bring a picture Id. 2. Car rider parents, please do NOT arrive before 2:40. Even cars pulled over to the side will be in the way of the parade and parking buses.

KES Parents... School Pictures are This Week: Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade pictures will be made on Tuesday, September 14th. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade pictures will be made on Wednesday, September 15th.

KES Announcement.... Good Afternoon Parents, Students and Staff, We have completed the three week mask mandate. Our number of quarantined students/staff has dropped below five (5) percent. According to policy, masks are still strongly encouraged while indoors; however, masks are not required to be worn at KES at this time. We will continue to monitor numbers daily and comply with guidelines in the ASD COVID-19 Mitigation Strategies policy. KES Clarification... I am sorry for any confusion with the last message. I did not intend for it to sound like Mrs. Dianne's was the only class coming back tomorrow. Due to some issues with our system, Mrs. Dianne could not send out a message to all of her students , so I wanted to make sure they did get word. I didn't have a list with me to name all of the others. Thank you for your patience. I can't wait to see all these kids (and teachers) back tomorrow!!

KES 4th Grade.... If your children were quarantined with the first fourth grade class (Phillips), they may come back to school tomorrow as long as: 1. They don't have symptoms 2. They have not tested positive for Covid since they were quarantined. If they have, they will need to quarantine for 10 days from the date of their tests. We are so ready to have everyone back! KES Announcement: Hi Parents and Students, I know some of you have had trouble getting assignments throughout this quarantine. This is an unusual time. It has been inconsistent, because we have had many teachers and other staff members out sick. Many of the ones who are at school are having to teach another grade level. I apologize for any inconvenience this has been for you. Please know that we will help your child catch up if that is necessary. We will review and reteach any standards students need, The classes are mainly just reviewing end of year standards from last school year at this time. If you would like to pickup packets, the office does have those available for each grade level. If you or someone in your household is positive for Covid, please don't come into the lobby. Call the office, and we will meet you outside. Thank you for hanging in this with us! I know it is frustrating right now, but TOGETHER we will get through it and have a great year.
