Alcorn Central High School is proud to support two young minds on their journey with the Future Business Leaders of America.
The Future Business Leaders of America is a national organization for middle and high school students that focuses on the development of business skills, communication skills, banking & finance, and politics.
After several weeks of studying and preparing, two students with the Alcorn Central FBLA chapter have earned a spot to compete at the National Convention in San Antonio, Texas.
John Mask won 1st Place at the North District Competition in Booneville and also won 1st Place at the State Leadership Conference in Jackson, MS. He competed in Organizational Leadership.
Taylor Poindexter received a 2nd Place finish at both the North District and State Leadership Conferences in the field of Introduction to Business Communications.
Both students will be traveling to San Antonio, Texas to compete for a place on the national awards stage at the end of June.
John and Taylor are looking for local businesses and individual donors to help ease the cost of this large adventure.
