We want to give a big Alcorn Central welcome to our new English I teacher Mrs. Bailey Johnson! It is a pleasure to have her aboard for this upcoming school year.
Johnson is a Booneville native and graduated from Booneville High School. After graduation, she attended NEMCC and Mississippi State University to complete her Bachelors in Secondary Social Studies Education. She was a member of the Shackouls Honors College.
This year will be Johnson’s third year in the classroom. She spent the first two years at Corinth Middle School. This year, she will be teaching our freshmen and is excited to join the Alcorn School District because she already has several friends in the district.
She is the wife to Logan who was her high school sweetheart. Some of her favorite things to do are binge watching tv shows, reading, and spending time with her family. Currently, she is spending a good deal of her time completing her Masters of Secondary Social Studies Education from Mississippi State.
When prompted, Johnson said, “I believe that each student should know they have what it takes to succeed with the right motivation, attitude, and effort. I am looking forward to having a great year here at Alcorn Central High School!”
