Leadership is one of the cornerstones of success.
Apparently, that is not a new thing for Alcorn Central senior Hunter Walker.
Walker had the opportunity to represent Alcorn Central High School, along with two of his classmates, at the APEX Leadership Summit on the campus of the University of Mississippi.
As a result of the week at Ole Miss, three of our seniors were able to come in contact with their skills as a leader. This will only benefit them down the road.
Hundreds of people across Mississippi and beyond attended the conference.
APEX Counselors split the large group of over 100 into smaller groups. These group were always pitted against one another in the fight for APEX Team Champion. Among the champion team would be one APEX Peer MVP.
The Most Valuable Player for the 2019 APEX Leadership Summit would be none other than Alcorn Central's very own Hunter Walker.
When asked about the experience, Walker said, "It was an experience [like] never had before."
Those others attending the summit were Brady Pellizzer and Noah Stutts.
Alcorn Central is doing big things, and it is because of students.
