ACHS FBLA Officers attend Fall Leadership Conference

Leadership and business principles are very important topics in our rapidly growing society. Our FBLA officers are no strangers to these ideas. They spent a whole day Tuesday, October 10 sharpening their craft.

These officers attending the MS FBLA State Fall Leadership Conference that was held on the campus of Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. Students learned about the MSU College of Business, heard from CEO of TJ's Animation about following your dreams and the road to success, interacted with former FBLA State Secretary Tanner Marlar, participated in skits presented by the current state officer team, and engaged in a communication and marketing activity where each school chapter was given a random product and asked to develop a commercial for it.

The students who attended from ACHS were Aidan Anderson, Hank Harville, Lindsay Stevens, Addison Corbin, Julia Davis, Gracey Viola, Luke Baswell, and Alice Brose. They were accompanied by advisors John Mask and Heather Arnold.

We are proud to see these students working together and collaborating on such great projects.

Students participated in a "Dress for Success" skit to show students what and what not to wear. Pictured above is Alice Brose represented what NOT to wear to an FBLA conference.

Pictured above is Dr. Scott Grawe, Dean of MSU College of Business. He was explaining his story and sharing information about the  course and programs offered by the university.

Our ACHS chapter met up with students from ACMS, KMS, and KHS to share experiences and have lunch together. We are embodying the ASD message of #LearnLeadEXCEL!
