Learning in ACtion - Mrs. Smith’s English IV shows Christmas spirit.

Christmas is in the air and service is in their hearts!

As part of Mrs. Smith’s English IV unit on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, students researched and interviewed local civic organizations. Some students took this one step further by making donations to their assigned organization or volunteering their time to that organization. 

We would like to thank the community members who took the time to help these students. It was a great way for them to see all the many ways to get involved in their hometown, and hopefully some of these students will choose to join these groups as an adult. 

Alcorn Central is focused on developing young leaders who will be valuable members of our community. If you see a need that our students could help meet, please reach out to the school office.
