Throughout the year, our student journalists will cover the moments that shape our school—from athletics, academics, clubs, performances, and major events to the everyday stories that might otherwise go unnoticed. We want to celebrate accomplishments, introduce the people behind them, and give students the opportunity to tell the stories of their classmates, teachers, coaches, and community.
More importantly, The Bear Journal is about taking the story of Alcorn Central beyond the walls of the school. There are countless great things happening at AC every day, and our community deserves the opportunity to experience them with us. Through interviews, feature stories, photographs, sports coverage, student spotlights, and community news, we hope to create a stronger connection between our school and the people who support it.
At its heart, The Bear Journal belongs to the students of ACHS. Their experiences, accomplishments, challenges, ideas, and voices will shape these pages. This is our opportunity to document the year as it happens—not simply reporting what happened, but capturing what it means to be part of Alcorn Central.
