At the beginning of each school year MHSAA partners with the National Federation of High Schools to announce Coach of The Year based on results from the previous school year. The MHSAA/NFHS embraces the opportunity to recognize coaches and the impact each has on student athletes across the great state. This year our very own Jesse Nelson Archery Coach was selected. ACHS is very proud of Coach Nelson and all his hard work with the Archery Team. Congrats!
On Friday Sept 15,2023 ACHS FFA Members Competed at the Alcorn County Fair in the 4H Poultry Chain Show. Bella Davis, Jr FFA member won Jr Division Campion with her Orpington Hens. Mattie Mynatt,Sr FFA member won the Sr Division Campion with her Orpington Hens. Mattie and her hens also took home Overall Best of Show award for the 4H Poultry Show at the Alcorn County Fair. Congratulations to both those young ladies for all there hard work.
ACHS School pictures will be taken Thursday, September 21. The photographer will be sending home proofs of each portrait attached to an order form. Students will receive these the week following picture day.
Congratulations to Owen Depoyster for being named Rotary Student of the Month! He is an outstanding member of the senior class and is involved in many activities at ACHS. We are proud of him!

The ACHS Band, now known as The Pride of AC, is looking to partner with band alumni, band supporters, and the community for their Revive for $25 program!
Attention Teachers, Students, and Parents: We are excited to announce that there is a an educational tour available this summer (June 2024) for anyone interested in participation. There will be an informational meeting held September 5 @ 5:00 in the ACHS Lobby. This is going to be a really fun trip full of sightseeing, new experiences, and lots of memories.
