ACHS FFA members attended advocacy workshops & Legislative Luncheon today.
Members heard from MS Farm Bureau Federation President Mike McCormick, Farm Bureau Federation Ambassador Shelby Hall, Lt Governor Delbert Hosemann, & Commisioner of Agriculture Andy Gipson.
Students then traveled to the State Capital to tour and meet with State Representatives Bubba Carpenter & Nick Bain. Students also had the opportunity to speak with Senator Rita Potts Parks. Students also enjoyed seeing some animals from the MS Aquarium at the Capital.

As a part of National FFA Week, Mr. Derrick's Ag classes heard from Miss Billie Jade Chapman of Pine Grove yesterday in class. Billie Jade is the MS State FFA President. She shared her experiences with FFA while students participated in leadership and team activities. #FFA

Alcorn Central is proud to announce that two Senior Beta Club members have been selected as Scholarship winners from the National Senior Beta Club. Miss Lorien Gray and Mr. Brady Talley will both receive $1000 that they may use to further their education.
The selection of National Beta Scholarship winners is based on a number of factors with special emphasis on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, commendable character, school, and community service, as well as National Beta involvement.
