Alcorn Central is all in the Christmas spirit. This past week, Mrs. Long took the time to help get her students all filled up with holiday cheer.
Mrs. Long had her Christmas tree put up right after Thanksgiving break and many students asked her where all the ornaments were. When she told them they weren't made yet, many students were confused. It wasn't long until they found out that they themselves would be just like Santa's little elves making ornaments.
Mrs. Long used this opportunity to incorporate a chemistry lesson. The experiment was meant to help student learn about crystallization and the use of multi-chemical solutions. According to Mrs. Long, the process was quite simple and enjoyed by all. We love to see our students getting to experience learning in fun and relevant ways.

Alcorn Central bands are growing! We had an amazing rehearsal this evening for our 5th-12th graders in preparation for our Christmas concert. We have 100 members in the band program (5-12) making memories and music together.

The Academic Team is planning a night of fun for December 13, 2022! They will host their first annual Community Trivia Night and you can come be a part of the fun! You can compete on a trivia team, come to hear the live entertainment, buy from the silent auction and concessions, or all three! Either way, it will be nothing but fun!
Trivia Team Registration Fee - $30 (teams must register online and pay at the door)
General Admission - $2
Silent Auction Bidding Number - $3
Concessions - Prices vary.
